FlexiGroup, a diversified financial services group came to understand their users attitudes towards a third party App, Proviso. Proviso uses applicants bank login credentials to access their bank account and verify income while applying for a credit card.

What we did
Prior to testing, a landscape review was performed to discover how other application forms were laid out across similar financial institutions. Since this was a credit card application being tested, a mid-fi prototype would need to be created. In the end, 3 different prototypes were created to test across the 9 participants. One was as it would be if it were to go to market that day, one variant with softened, friendlier copy writing throughout, and an unbranded version of a similar application by another institution. Synthesising as much as possible after each moderated user testing session and then ending with a final large synthesis, we gave our final presentation to the client. This also included a document to them containing our approach, the insights from testing, a heuristics review (guided by WCAG 2.1 standards) and a list of potential next steps for them.
