Objective
The goal was to transform complex medical data into a clear, approachable experience that users could trust. The app needed to make sleep health assessment simple, quick, and non-intimidating — while maintaining the accuracy and authority of a medical-grade tool.
Process
Through close collaboration with Optalert’s scientific and development teams, we designed a user-centred interface that bridges the gap between science and everyday usability.
Using Figma for wireframes and prototypes, we refined the app’s information flow and visual language to feel calm, credible, and intuitive. The final design guided users effortlessly through testing, results interpretation, and educational content, with accessibility and trust at its core.
The product was carefully implemented across iOS and Android, ensuring a seamless experience in over 12 countries and 6 languages.
Outcome
OwlEye launched successfully, empowering users to better understand their sleep health and detect early signs of sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea. The app’s clear design and approachable interface helped transform complex sleep science into actionable insight.
Featured on 7News, OwlEye quickly reached a wide audience, offering a vital tool in tackling one of Australia’s most common health concerns — with 2 in 3 adults reporting at least one sleep problem.
